the joy of guilt living the life of a modern man
as i have mentioned in some forgettable conversation, guilt is a staple for us malays, just like rice and hindustani movies :)) so let's list down the guilt i have, environmentally speaking.
1. i love my rainwater shower head, which i doubt has a lower flow than the normal ones
2. take-aways in styrofoam pack when i dont have the time to cook and/or when cooking for one drives me crazy :))
3. sleeping with the TV on...it sooths me
4. staying late in the office with the whole office lights on and only one of me - even when i am writing a report on the state of the river or a proposal for a better management of solid waste :)) like now...
5. long drive aimlessly at night when i am feeling uber-restless
6. travelling - jet fuel/erosion of tribal culture by commercial interests/etc.
7. white t-shirts and towels - usage of bleach to keep it white
8. green tea baskin robbins ice cream - imported stuff just for some ten-minute pleasure
9. moving to a new place - packaging!!!
and most pointless...
10. i need running water doing the...uh...you-know-what...
uh, after No. 10, let's keep it at that for now. more to come i am sure, i am after all a Malay :))
